HARLEY-DAVIDSON FLSNT
Harley-Davidson FLSNT Softail Deluxe in Chicano Style
This project turned out to be both bright and stylish, combining traditional elements with modern technologies and unique solutions.
Chicano is undoubtedly a striking style in custom motorcycle design. It originated in the 1940s in Southern California, reflecting the lifestyle of the Mexican-American community. This style first emerged in car customization (lowriders) and, over time, transitioned to motorcycles.
The Chicano style in customization is distinguished by a low-slung silhouette. The Softail frame is typically used as the base, complemented by long exhaust pipes, high ape handlebars, and decorative paintwork inspired by traditional Mexican tapestry patterns.
For this project, we extended the front and rear fenders, visually lowering the silhouette and emphasizing the Chicano aesthetic. Instead of the canonical long exhaust pipes, we crafted custom "Upswept" pipes in our workshop, adding originality to the design. The exhaust mounts, made from chrome-plated wrenches, further enhance the style.
The High Apes handlebars were handcrafted from stainless steel at OMC. The La Pera seat seamlessly blends into the concept, while footpegs decorated with welded seams add a touch of individuality to the bike.
A standout feature of this project is the swap of the stock front fork for one from a Yamaha WILD STAR XV1600. This modification enabled the use of dual disc brakes, effectively addressing the shortcomings of the stock Harley setup.
The custom green paintwork with a patina effect deserves special attention, giving the motorcycle a vintage charm. The look is completed with custom rear lights, turn signals, and numerous small details that underscore the bike's unique personality.
